Dubai Municipality Aiming at zero waste to landfill by 2030 through integrated approach

standards in waste management practices and also to realise the long term goal of waste minimisation As a first step in community recycling, this service involves door-to-door waste collection. As a waste management initiative, this is the first time it will be done for the residents in the UAE says Eng. Saifaie. This initiative has been launched for some private properties, but will be introduced in phases in all residential areas. To this end, the WMD has forged strategic partnerships with various private sector companies to implement these programme effectively. For this project, it
has selected three companies namely, Emdad, Averda, Dulsco to distribute the waste bins and collect the waste from the residences directly on a daily basis.
